A smaller house can still hold a very big view.

Skaret is a two-bedroom cabin near Tromsø for up to four guests. It is a private place for couples, friends or a small family to settle into Northern Norway at their own pace. We like to think of it as the easy choice: everything you need, nothing you have to hurry for.

Set beside the Ullsfjord, Skaret brings the Lyngen Alps and the changing Arctic light into the living space through its floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows. Morning begins softly over the water. The Midnight Sun can carry the day far into the evening. In winter, the same open sky may fill with the Northern Lights.

Inside, everything is ready for an unhurried stay. The fully equipped kitchen makes relaxed meals at home easy. Underfloor heating keeps the cabin warm, the fireplace brings everyone together and the exceptionally comfortable beds are waiting after a day of hiking, fishing, exploring Tromsø or being out on the fjord.

Come back with cold cheeks and tired legs. Put something on the stove. Light the fire. Pour another drink and let the view do the talking. Skaret is our more intimate Northern Norway accommodation. Not because the landscape is smaller, but because four people can make the whole place feel like their own.
