Bjørka

Bjørka begins with a slower kind of morning.

Coffee at the window. No plans before breakfast. A walk along the fjord if the weather invites you, or another hour by the fire if it does not. Bjørka is our three-bedroom holiday home near Tromsø for up to six guests, made for the days when nobody needs to be anywhere else.

The floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows keep the Ullsfjord and the Lyngen Alps present throughout the day. Morning light arrives across the mountains, weather moves through the landscape and the sky remains part of the room long after the sun has gone. In winter, there may be Northern Lights. In summer, the Midnight Sun keeps the evening open.

Inside, we wanted everything to feel easy. The fully equipped kitchen gives you the freedom to cook at home without losing sight of the landscape. Underfloor heating keeps the rooms warm, the fireplace gives the evening a centre and the exceptionally comfortable beds make it easy to sleep deeply after a day in the Arctic air.

There is no correct way to spend time at Bjørka. Go out on the water, explore the mountains or stay inside and let the weather pass by. This is Ullsfjord accommodation for people who want the comfort of a beautiful home and the rare luxury of having nowhere else to be.
