Nordlys takes its name from the Northern Lights, but the story begins long before the first star appears. This three-bedroom holiday home near Tromsø is made for long evenings, shared meals and the particular pleasure of looking out through the windows simply because there is always something changing beyond them.

The open living space gathers everyone around the same view. Floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows look across the Ullsfjord towards the Lyngen Alps, while the fully equipped kitchen gives the day a natural centre: coffee in the morning, something simple after time outside or a long dinner that carries on well past sunset.

With room for up to six guests and two bathrooms, Nordlys is a comfortable base for families, friends or two couples travelling together. Underfloor heating, a fireplace and exceptionally comfortable beds create a warm retreat after a day in the Arctic landscape. This is the contrast we love about Northern Norway: wild beyond the glass, deeply comfortable within it.

In winter, step outside beneath the dark sky and wait for the first green movement of the aurora. In summer, watch the Midnight Sun hold the fjord in light. The landscape is shared by every home at Sommarbukt. The evening is yours.
