Nordlys sits directly on the Ulsfjord, around one hour from Tromsø, north of the Arctic Circle in Northern Norway. The name means Northern Lights. And few places in the Tromsø region offer a view of the night sky quite like this one. The aurora does not just appear here. It takes over.

The house sleeps up to 6 guests across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The open living area with panoramic windows, a gallery level, fireplace, and underfloor heating creates the kind of warmth that makes it hard to leave. Until you remember the fjord is right outside. A jetty leads directly to the water. A motorboat is available on request.

Nordlys is one of the finest spots in the Tromsø region for watching the Northern Lights. Far from light pollution and surrounded by untouched nature, the nights here are something else entirely. In summer, the Midnight Sun takes over, casting the fjord in warm light well past midnight.

Tromsø, with its restaurants, culture, and Arctic city life, is around 50 minutes by car. Back at Nordlys, the silence is waiting.
